Beth Shalom Academy Highschool
Beth Shalom Academy Girls High School was founded three years ago by Dr. Ruth Leiter-Itzkowitz and is built upon the pedagogical methods and educational approach Dr. Itzkowitz has developed over more than 25 years in the field of education, including 14 years on the faculty of Manhattan High School for Girls. Drawing from this extensive experience, BSA Girls High School was created with a clear and intentional vision: to blend strong academic rigor with individualized, student-centered instruction, while incorporating meaningful and enriching extracurricular opportunities.
Our program is designed for creative, curious learners who thrive in an environment that values hands-on experiences, thoughtful exploration, and personal expression. Students are encouraged to engage deeply with their learning—academically, creatively, and spiritually—within a warm, supportive setting rooted in strong Torah values. Our curriculum reflects this balance, with courses ranging from computer programming to drama and art, and from Women in Tanach to advanced Kodesh classes, allowing each student to develop both intellectually and creatively.
Our student body reflects the beauty of Klal Yisrael, with girls coming from across the frum spectrum—Chabad, Litvish, Chassidish, and beyond. This diversity fosters a respectful and enriching environment where students learn not only from their teachers, but from one another, growing in understanding, sensitivity, and shared purpose.
We proudly welcome out-of-town students and are happy to assist families in arranging local boarding options, although housing is not provided directly by the school. Our program is best suited for students who are comfortable in an observant Jewish environment and who are eager to grow academically, creatively, and spiritually.
At its core, BSA Girls High School is committed to nurturing thoughtful, confident young women who are deeply connected to their Yiddishkeit and prepared for the next stage of their lives.
If your daughter is excited about creativity, exploration, and deepening her Jewish learning, we would be honored to welcome her to the BSA school community.
